Historically I've never had a had a burning desire to take a hot-air balloon ride, although I do have vague memories of getting very excited when one hovered over the Reading Rock Festival site in the 1970s emblazoned with Thin Lizzy's distinctive logo. Those of a certain age will also remember the buzz... the number of people in each basket compartment. It also had a pretty good rating on Trip Advisor which, despite its critics, is a great asset to have when travelling.
