Stopover in La Serena: Read the story and see 5 photos of a visit to La Serena, Chile by TravelPod member frawldog.... coming into town and the beach didn't look too impressive and the only ticket going North (the direction I wanted to go) was to get a bus ticket for Wednesday, which was 4 days later or stay 7 hours in La Serena and take the 1 AM bus to San Pedro de Atacama. I decided there was not 4 days worth of stuff to see in La Serena and bought a ticket for the midnight bus.
