I have watched the trees from spring to fall, noticed leaf bud and blossom, the one thing that stood out to me over the years was the Walnut Tree out my back window and the neighbor has one on their tree lawn. These Walnut trees always seem to be the first tree to leaf out in my microclimate in the spring and it is the first to change to a yellow hue and drop its leaves in the fall, always leafing out before the Norway maple. Now usually the Buckeye or Horse Chestnut is the first tree to leaf...
