Salalah, Oman is located a couple hours by car north of Yemen and several hours east of Saudi Arabia and is situated on the Arabian Sea, which has the most sparkling turquoise waters I've ever seen. The Arabian Sea near Salalah, as seen from a clifftop. I purposefully took both of my trips to Salalah... This is sort of the mental picture I have when I think of Oman, having not been there. Lots of pretty beaches and coastal areas. Hope we get to go there someday.

We tried to arrange a visit to Salalah (Oman) to see the old Frankinsense routes and beautiful beaches, but unfortunately there were no direct flights and we couldn't very well stay over for eleven hours for a week-end away!
