Inspiration came in the form of the beautiful Reading Room at the British Museum (a round room with a blue, cream and gold domed ceiling by Sydney Smirke) and the kitchen at Durham Cathedral (a 14th century octagonal room with... from Chaucer, the Medieval writer of The Canterbury Tales, to Shakespeare, the genius who penned plays about star-crossed lovers and prophesizing witches, to Byron, the Romantic poet who was 'mad, bad and dangerous to know'.
